Holistic Ministry views people through God’s eyes as complete individuals with both bodies and souls.

This holistic view of ministry changes the way we see individuals and communities. In individuals, we seek to meet both physical and spiritual needs to nourish the body and soul with love and tangible care. In communities, we seek to provide both short term intervention and long term involvement.

Every person is made in the Image of God. Every image bearer has dignity, worth, and capacity.

Being made in the image of God means you have inherent worth. It also means you have inherent capacity- abilities, ideas, assets, and solutions.

In all of our Outreach efforts, we seek to define others by this identity of "image bearer". If we define others by their deficiencies or treat them as passive recipients of someone else’s help, it rejects their dignity as image bearers.

"Dignity " means we involve everyone as participants, as equals. If we change our paradigm for understanding poverty from a resources framework to a relational framework, then we will focus on the practice of reconciliation rather than the distribution of resources.

"Shalom" is the biblical concept of wholeness. Shalom is physical, spiritual, emotional, and social harmony everywhere. As followers of Jesus, we seek justice to bring shalom to life. In this series, we're walking through the biblical concepts of justice and shalom, and highlighting partners in our city who are doing the work.

We have a saying at Northeast that we “Always walk the walk, and talk the talk when the time is right.” But how do you know when the “time is right” to share your faith? It’s not as complicated, scary, or weird as you may think.

We believe sincerity always trumps spectacle, and that unleashing the love of Jesus is most effective in the everyday moments with the people closest to you.

Week one of "Show + Tell" will encourage you to both show and tell the love of Jesus in small, daily, world-changing ways.

In the final week of "Who We Are" we're leaning into the importance of intentional community. At Northeast, we want to be a community where every person can name their pastor and friends within the church.

As we unleash the love of Jesus in our homes, workplaces, city, and church, we want to be the answer to Jesus' prayer in John 17.

"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." John 17:20-21

We want to be a church that leads in facilitating unity among diverse churches in the ‘Ville because, as Jesus said, our unity will be attractive to a divided world.

How does a group of people from all different backgrounds, of all different ages, of all different socio-economic situations, come together as one? Jesus is how.

It's Youth Takeover Weekend! We want to be a church that invests in our youth, especially the most committed. You'll hear from our family teams about why we love the next generation of the church and how we want to partner with you to achieve this goal.

We've all heard the adage, "It's easy to overestimate what you can accomplish in one year, and even easier to underestimate what you can do in five."

At Northeast, want to be obedient in becoming who we believe the Lord is calling us to be as a church. In this introductory message, Tyler gives an overview of the ten "aspirational vision targets" that we are strategizing towards for the next five years. It's our hope that five years from now, we can look back and see how God has moved in our church and grown us together in these key areas.

Over the course of this series, we will dive deep into five of the ten targets, highlighting one each week.

This week, we're focusing on the first target: "We want to be a congregation who knows, honors, and reads the Bible."
